State Encyclopedia Websites:
Many states have created online Encyclopedias through state historical organizations, state universities, university presses, and state humanities organizations. Some of the sites are fantastic and others are a little underwhelming. Still, if you need your students to write about your state or a doing a state-based history project, it can be a good place to explore first.
